I founded Kayne Law Group in 2002, after 20 exceptional years as a partner of a large regional firm. When I told my colleagues I was starting a solo practice, they told me I was crazy to leave such security behind at my age (I was 50!). But I saw things a bit differently.
I knew I would be successful if I built a firm based on the philosophy my mentors had taught me: To nurture relationships with my clients. To create a culture of thoughtful advice and personal service. To deliver value at a fair price. And I wanted to create an office environment where everyone is respected and trusted. A place where everyone looks forward to coming to work every day.
Looking at our growth, I’m proud to say it must be working. Growth for the sake of growth was never our strategic goal; plain and simple, we’re growing because our clients need us to.
Finally, I have to say that I could not have done this alone. My partner Adam Smith took a leap of faith to join me early in this endeavor, and each team member to join us since then has played an instrumental role in bringing KLG to its present place. Indeed, each of them has enhanced our philosophy and culture, and continues to do so every day. I am so fortunate to work with people I like and respect (really!) and who constantly make me laugh.
