Kayne Law Group represents the City of Bexley, a suburb of Columbus, Ohio, in redevelopment plans for its Main Street commercial corridor. Through its non-profit community improvement corporation, Bexley will lease the existing City Hall property to an affiliate of Continental Real Estate Companies; Continental will develop that parcel as a 30,000 square foot Giant Eagle Market District grocery store. In turn, Bexley will move its City Hall operations to the adjacent Bexley Square Shopping Center site, which was purchased from an affiliate of Casto. The city’s offices will be housed in the rear portion of the Center, with the existing retail operators remaining in the front portion of the Center. KLG was integral in structuring and negotiating both the City Hall ground lease and the Bexley Square purchase together with related agreements.
