Working hand-in-hand with client for expansion to New York City market

Kayne Law Group is representing Aldi Foods in its expansion into New York City and the surrounding boroughs – always a complex market. We recently completed several noteworthy transactions: a lease with Vornado Realty Trust for a store in a vertical mall in Queens, which involved unusual access and signage easement rights, complex construction issues, and difficult use and co-tenancy issues; a lease with Related Companies for a store in a new “Brown Fields” shopping center in Brooklyn, with complex environmental and construction issues; and another lease with Related Companies, for an anchor store in an urban transportation hub, involving difficult access, visibility and permitted use issues.
